Becoming

Becoming is part of a new series of paintings, exploring the concept of liminality—the state of being in transition, caught between what was and what is yet to emerge. Layers of paint are applied, scraped away, and reapplied, mirroring the cyclical process of growth and transformation.

The tension between absence and presence, erasure and re-creation, reflects the vulnerability and uncertainty of becoming. Through this rhythmic process of destruction and renewal, the painting captures the quiet power of evolving—where fragments of the past remain visible beneath the surface, shaping the emerging form.
